The mission of the College Connection ministry

is to develop and maintain Christ-centered

relationships with our college students.

As a fairly new ministry, the College Connection’s mission is to develop and maintain Christ-centered relationships with our college students.  We served 20 college students during the 2009-2010 school year.  They received postcards, letters and care packages periodically throughout each semester.  We are gearing up for the 2010-2011 school year and we want to have all our college students on our mailing list. 

 College can be a very trying time for students and it’s tough to stay close to God when you are away from home.  We strive to keep them encouraged and remind them that they are loved and thought about during the school year.     

We have selected Colossians 2:6-7 as the student scripture for this ministry: 

“And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him.  Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him.  Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”

We want our students to have found their place in a relationship with Christ, and we look for ways to enable them to stay focused on that.
