I’d love to have lunch with each child in our ministry this year so they can show off their school and their friends! If your child would like a visit from me during their lunch time, please complete the form below and let the school know I’m approved to visit your child.
Children are our special responsibility-entrusted to our care by God. It is the mission of our Nursery and Childcare staff here at Central United Methodist Church to provide a place where young children are loved, nurtured, and cared for. In our Nursery, infants and toddlers (up to age 3) have their first introduction to their church home. The nursery is available from 8:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. each Sunday for infants and toddlers. In addition, nursery and childcare is available for those participating in meetings, music rehearsals, Bible Studies, and some special events. If childcare or nursery is needed during an event or meeting when it is not routinely available, please notify Hannah Carter at least 48 hours in advance so that adequate staffing can be provided. Central provides Nursery and Childcare downstairs in the northeast wing. More detailed information about policies, ages and times can be found in the nursery wing and at Information Central in the atrium.
Here they learn from loving caregivers what Jesus taught the children: God loves you!
Central United Methodist Church is genuinely grateful to be blessed with children with special needs that God has placed in our fellowship. The purpose of the Four Friends Ministry is to promote and nurture the relationship between God and children with special needs. This ministry involves providing one-on-one attention and care to children who experience God in differing ways.
Central uses buddy volunteers who are assigned to one child. Buddies are asked to possibly accompany their buddy to Sunday school, sit with them in worship, or attend children’s church with them. Each child is different, so each Faith Based Action Plan is different as well.
Our name, Four Friends, is based on the bible story from Luke 5: 17-26. Just as the four friends thought of a way to bring their friend to Jesus, we can help bring ALL of our children to Jesus as well.
