Located in the lower northeast wing, our preschool, prekinder, and kindergarten Sunday School captures children’s imaginations! Classrooms are created where children encounter God’s Word and reflect on how the Bible matters in their lives. We tell the complete Bible story-not just a bible verse-and help children use their natural enthusiasm with fun, cooperative games, group activities, and storytelling that gets children involved in both the telling and the listening. CUMC uses the award-winning Deep Blue curriculum, a new awe-inspiring resource for Preschool, PreKinder and Kindergarten children! It includes adventure, exciting stories, science experiments, arts and crafts, animated video storytelling, and active games—all combined into a living-faith experience that will help children discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ today!
- Preschool (Age 3 by 8/1/17) meets in the pink room, Prekinder (Kindergarten in 2018-19) meets in the green room, and Kindergarten meets in the blue room.
- Children are placed in classes based on ages determined by the public school systems in the area.
- Please take the time to properly sign your child into Sunday School. We care about children and want to do everything we can to ensure their safety while you enjoy one of our many adult classes or volunteer in other areas.
Rotation Sunday School is back this year for our 1st-5th grade classes! In a rotational learning setting, the same Bible story or theme is taught for several weeks. Each week, learners rotate to a different station. The story remains the same, but children encounter it in different ways in each station. Repetition is an important part of Deep Blue! We will be using the Deep Blue Rotation Sunday School curriculum stations of Art, Cooking, Science, Games, and Storytelling/Drama.
