It’s Bible Presentation time!
It is Central’s desire — God’s desire — for every child to “reach unity in the faithand in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13). Partnering with parents, Central United Methodist Church would like to honor any 3rd, 4th or 5thgrader who hasn’t received a Bible from Centralby presenting them with a new Bible that they will be able to use for years to come. The Bible is one book, one history, one story—His story…our story. It is built around the story of Christ and His promise of life everlasting to all people.
A special Bible Presentation Worship Service will be held Sunday, October 9th in the Chapel during the Sunday school hour. Entire families and guests are encouraged to attend. Please RSVP for your child by September 23rd to guarantee a Bible will be ordered for him/her.
Bible Boot Camp will be held October 28th and 29th here at Central. There will be fun activities, a cook out, songs around the campfire, s’mores and more! On Saturday, we will make Birthday Boxes to send to Grace Food Pantry. These get passed out to kids who come through the pantry and have a birthday coming up.
The cost is $20 per camper, which includes food, supplies and a Bible Boot Camp t-shirt. We need a ratio of 1 adult for every 5 kids, so adult campers get to attend for FREE! Adult campers must have been Safe Sanctuary certified within the last 2 years. The goals for each camper are:
- To become familiar with the Bible
- To learn how to access information, and to understand the Bible’s purpose for their lives.
- To make connections and friends within our church
Register adult and student campers on the form below. Deadline to register is October 1st. Drop off a check in the church office to secure your spot.
